As we all know, reading can sometimes be exhausting, and this is why we need visual stimulation to keep interested.
(See, Alice agrees)
Here are some books that would be much better with illustrations. Also there are some photos of illustrations because I’m obviously going to stick to my own advice, aren’t I?
THE HUNGER GAMES
Type of illustrations: oh, I think we’d definitely need diagrams of all the food that she’s managing to eat. Because, you know, one day there might be an apocalypse and us introverted bookworms need to learn what kind of berries will kill us, right?
ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE
Type of illustrations: yeah so we’d need Dante’s drawings in this. I think they would be absolutely incredible and profound and beautiful. I’m sure there’d be lots of illustrations of stars.
Please make this happen, Book Gods/Goddesses.
IT’S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY
Type of illustrations: brain maps. These brain maps feature heavily and they’re described SO WELL but also I’d like the actual brain maps please and thank you. There’s one on the front cover but there are DOZENS more that sound amazing.
HIS DARK MATERIALS
Type of illustrations: well, of course these would be beautiful, full-colour illustrations of polar bears and witches and angels and Pantalaimon. It would be absolutely stunning.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.
Type of illustrations: I’m thinking the same as His Dark Materials – I want to see the elves and the dragons and even the Urgals.
And anyone who hates these books can fight me.
So as you can see, books with illustrations are superior.
According to me.
And also they’re better to review because you can take amazing pictures that everyone will ogle in jealousy.
Thoughts on books with illustrations? What are some books that would be (infinitely) better with pictures, do you think?
